A Bengal cat is athletic, alert, friendly, curious, confident, strong, agile, balanced and graceful. It is a medium to large muscular solidly built cat. It has a wide nose with prominent whisker pads and large oval, almost round eyes in a slightly small head. It has relatively short ears with rounded tips on a wide base. The short, dense coat is uniquely soft and silky. The coat may be glittered or not glittered. A thick, low-set, medium-length tail adds balance to the cat.
